Dipper or Diver?

I recently wrote about the dangers of dairy.  That kind of information may be enough for some people to decide to remove dairy from their diet.  Depending on how much dairy you consume that task may be easy or quite daunting.  One thing that is important to realize is what kind of personality type you are when it comes to change.  There are two types of people in this world when it comes to that change.  There are those that dip and those that dive.  When faced with a lifestyle change, a dipper will adopt the change slowly integrating that change step by step until they complete the transformation.  On the other hand the diver decides it is now or never and will jump into the change with both feet.  Neither approach is wrong.  The two approaches simply reflect one’s personality.  Ultimately each person gets to the same place just on different schedules.  When you are deciding to change something in your life that is as big as no dairy you might want to assess your personality.  This knowledge can help you be successful.  For example, if you are a dipper and you go cold turkey with dairy you may fail when you can’t keep yourself from enjoying dairy.  On the other hand, if you give yourself the license to slowly remove dairy from your diet you are likely to be more successful in the end.  Regardless of which type you are it is extremely important to arm yourself with recipes that you will enjoy so you don’t feel deprived.  There is a great lasagna recipe that is dairy free I recently found through a friend of mine.  My family loved this recipe so much I wish I had made two!  In fact, I would make 2 at a time and freeze one because it is a little labor intensive. Enjoy your lasagna!
