Riley Shaia Fitness

was created as a resource for nutrition, fitness, and healthy living. Riley is a certified group exercise instructor with the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and has worked as a group fitness instructor since 1992. She received a B.S. in Education with a concentration in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia in 1995 then went on to get her Masters in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998. She is also a Master Trainer for Tabata Bootcamp, Barre Above, One Day to Wellness, Fluid Strength, Balletone, and Extreme Chaos. Riley currently teaches group fitness at the Tuckahoe YMCA and American Family Fitness in Richmond, Virginia. As a certified Holistic Nutritionist, Riley is passionate about spreading the word about the benefits of eating a whole foods plant based diet.
